Neoclassical flame mahogany game table c. 1840’s Possibly Joseph Meeks, New York, New York
The game table is made of highly figured mahogany with pine underlayment. The tabletop swivels and opens up to reveal a larger table top surface and a storage compartment underneath. The table top is on an ogee shaped skirt that sits on a Neoclassical Grecian urn style pedestal. The pedestal is connected to a plinth supported by Restauration styled cylindrical feet on original brass casters. The entire table is original and in original condition. Possibly made by Joseph Meeks, New York, New York.
The dimensions are: 29 1/4” tall x 34” wide x 17” deep. With top open dimensions are: 34”square.
Condition: Overall condition is original and excellent.
